For anyone who can't see the twitter video. Piling past camera car batting down RH Lane we have as follows:-
Rigid truck > 7.5t towing a close coupled triaxle caravan on the back of which connected by an A frame is a pickup truck which itself is towing a close coupled twin axle box trailer. Whole lot is snaking away, one hopes the prick got pulled.

I very much doubt that that is legal. What you normally see is a Showmans wagon pullling a trailer with a caravan behind, the chassis of the trailer will be to the same commercial standard as the towing truck so no problem.
There is absolutely no possibility that the chassis of that caravan is type approved to attach a towbar and tow another vehicle behind it

And yes, I too am wondering which axles are braked. I’m also wondering if there are any passengers in the caravans?
Probably.Been thinking about this a bit and suggest it's indicative that in society we have rule takers and rule breakers. These are clearly the latter I would suggest.
I'd also reckon that if you executed a stop on that lot, and really went to town on it to list all the various offences, it could be a case of having to write on both sides of the paper. Clearly that's my prejudice showing but reckon not far out.

that did make me laugh.tbh that is one of the most ridiculous set ups i have ever seen, the thought of towing that many things off one vehicle has never even occurred to me as something anyone would do. Its so ridiculous its impressive
And surely if you were inclined to tow that lot you would do lorry, land rover, caravan then the smallest one.

Guessing electric brakes on the triaxle, and overrun brakes on the box trailer who knows on the 4x4. Looks like an american trailer with popouts so possibly an electric brake controller on the a frame.Why is the camera car driver going so slow or doing something stupid that the driver of the rig feels the need to overtake? Showmen are usually pretty careful driving with their livelihood, large investment in a ride and their accomodation behind them.
The tri axle van is definitely from across the water, Hy Line Pinecreek 42' I think. I suspect it's not overrun brakes but who knows.

Amusingly and by complete coincidence an email arrived warning of caravan and trailer thefts in the area. Included there is a photo of a stolen caravan, a tri axle, guess which make and model.

No, shooting videos with the phone held in portrait mode, although extremely undesirable is not actually illegal - although it should be. There is absolutely no possibility that the chassis of that caravan is type approved to attach a towbar and tow another vehicle behind it
