My dad bought me a bike for my birthday on sunday, but theres a couple of questions I have which are easier to ask here than anywhere else. Any help would be much appreciated.

1)Am I going to attract unwanted police attention on a relatively rare bike with a private plate, being only 16?

2) Do you only carry around your photocard bit of your driving licence, or the paper as well? (It says keep them together, but most people only seem to have the photocard)

3) If I have my bike derestricted when I'm 16 and am caught by the police, whats going to happen in the way of fines/points/bans?

Thanks

Is a producer for licence "enshrined" in law or discretional? Could a police officer, if they were feeling like it, technically arrest someone for failure to produce on the spot??

If the ossifer thinks you're not giving a correct identity he can arrest you and take to to the "shop" to ensure you've given the correct one, or until you do give the correct one!

Regarding derestricting your bike, depending on how it's done they may never find out (unless they strip the engine) but for 1 year is it worth it? as it will never be quick enough to really thrill and when you're 17 you can get a better one.

this from someone who had a modified 50cc as a yoof
