Summoned to Court
Discussion
You can't go to court as a witness and answer "No comment" to questions or indeed refuse to answer questions. When you go into court as a witness you make a declaration or swear an oath dependant on your religious persuasion to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, to do anything else would possibly put you in contempt of court and you really don't want to do that.

Perverting the course of justice is a very serious offence. Report the threats to the police immediately.
I spoke to the PSNI when they came round yesterday and served the summons and because I could not identify the person they were not a lot they could do and advised me if I was threatened again to phone them. He also gave me some hints on making my house secure, which was a lot of good as I was approached coming out of the supermarket. mick987 said:
I gave the statement on the night of the incident, I have since found out the person involved will not take kindly to me going to court and it will have an adverse effect on my knees ( the last bit is a direct quote by one of his friends / business partners).
So may be padding between the guy, Is it he never threatened you, but another party did, was other party appearing to passing it on, or making threat himself? Inform police, I have my own powerfully built director type with millions behind him to sort out, that fella has surprises to come for what he has done in his chain of fraudulent attempts to convince me of a reality that isn't true while I was seriously ill by nearly being killed by his brand new misrepresented employee he backed to the fullest. He was like it because multiple contracts that are life blood of his little inherited empire will go down the pan so I can understand your position and any fear of serious life changing risks.

For all the failings of the police they do like to follow up on a possible PCoJ.

It makes no sense at all.

Have you read that back to yourself before hitting submit?

No I didn't, had to go to door lol,It makes no sense at all.
I meant not directly threatening him, but his friend was, was his friend appearing to pass threat on, or simply making his own threat is what I was asking about.

It was definitely from the person who I made a statement about, This person is not a powerfully built director. I live in Northern Ireland and he is well known in certain circles ( just not to me)I meant not directly threatening him, but his friend was, was his friend appearing to pass threat on, or simply making his own threat is what I was asking about.
I will be saying no comment I just wanted to know the conquest of doing so.
The PSNI will be well aware of witness intimidation. In fact I'd say they and their predecessors are the most experienced in the UK.
I would contact the PSNI and log it, get a crime reference number and explain that you may get dreadful amnesia in court otherwise. Also contact the court directly and tell them what has happened and give them the crime reference number as well.
Witness intimidation is a serious offence. The PSNI of all forces, should take it seriously.

This, sounds like you have a genuine serious life long injury or death threat, intended to pull your mental health and capacity to function in life away to create a mental wall in court, deliberately to control you most aggressively. out of the risk you are to them as they want to escape consequencesI would contact the PSNI and log it, get a crime reference number and explain that you may get dreadful amnesia in court otherwise. This is big issue and it's intended to pull your security away if done at your local shops, make PSNI aware if it's getting to adversely affect you, and if you have extreme worry/emotion in private over it, or mental brick wall of not being to say anything in court because your life is at risk.
It will be clear to court what is going on having reported it earlier, don't worry about saying no comment just make it clear you can't if it's the case, you can't is a clear consequence of the threat, no comment is contempt but if earlier reported a judge would be disgustingly out of order to punish you for being mentally compromised by threats to your life at local shops in my opinion.
Its PSNI job to assure you, wrap you up in cotton and protect you from any consequences if they want you to help them get the result their persuing, enquire about long term protections, potential relocations if needed.
