Car on false plates

What's so false about the plate?

Comes up as an a7 so what’s false about it? Unless you’ve got the same plate on yours!

I've just looked up TR61 MER on Askmid, tax check etc doesn't come up.

Came up on my app called vehicle smart that I use for stuff like that. 2013 A7 diesel not showing any tax but besides that it shows up as that car.

Seems strange to me too. If you think something is off, or the car is potentially a stoler, then call the police? Doubt the PH detectives are going to resolve the issue.

It's an illegal plate outright, so quite likely something else is dodgy, always worth a check. I wouldn't want a person driving illegally around me or my family.

I transferred a private plate to a vehicle just before the 7pm deadline on Friday evening. It shows up on a DVLA check so the records must be updated pretty instantly.

If that one doesn't show up on the DVLA check, then I'd say something isn't quite right with it or his timing is wrong on doing a reg transfer.
