"No overtaking" signs - when do they cancel?

Out on the bike yesterday waiting to overtake a few cars, there was a gap to overtake but I was coming up to a crossroads so held back a bit and waited until after the crossroads. On the "Danger, crossroads" sign there was a "No overtaking" sign, it was the normal black and red cars in the red circle, the road markings were normal dashed lines. You can just about see it here on this link (hopefully), it's just about visible on the left hand post heading South.

I didn't notice a "you can overtake again now" sign which got me wondering, is there one? It's something I really should know after 20+ years of driving but my memory's drawing a blank!

There definitely should be a 'No overtaking ends' sign at some point

Usually I also see a solid white line in the road that coincides with the no overtaking start and end.

I knew was going to be the stretch of road and no, there isn't a no overtaking ends sign on that stretch as I've looked no end of times.

It should look like this...



However, I seem to remember the no overtaking sign at that location is on the same sign as the warning crossroads sign I've always taken it to mean no overtaking at the crossroads.

The Council or Highways dept in Norfolk have form for this kind of thing.
As above there are no signs cancelling the no overtaking sign.

Solid white lines don't forbid overtaking.

They forbid you crossing or straddling the solid line (save for some listed exemptions).

You are allowed to overtake as long as you can safely do so without crossing or straddling the white line.
That will obviously depend on the vehicles involved & road width available, but for instance motorcycle could possibly overtake motorcycle legally.

Unless it's changed, the Traffic Signs manual also states: “No overtaking” signs must not be used along the same length of road as double white lines.

Have you got a link to that bit of road? It's extremely non obvious from your photos why there should be an overtaking prohibition there

ETA: Ok I found it. So I assume it's the hidden dips?

So if you drive past it you cannot overtake anyone for the rest of your journey, or the rest of your life?
If you enter another no over taking zone which does have an end, does that that end this one as well?
