Bus Lane Conundrum
Discussion
There's about 300 yards of bus gate in Nottingham that runs roughly east west has a camera layout something like this:

Cameras 3 & 4 are at slightly differing angles, so maybe one for eastbound and one for west bound. (although I would have thought all 4 cameras would be wide angle enough to capture both lanes?)
Many people coming from the east pass cameras 3 & 4, realise their mistake & do a u turn.
Do you think:
1) the cameras are smart & can see the driver has done their best and therefore cancels the fine
2) just issues one fine
3) counts both movements and issues two fines?
Similarly, the drivers who drive the whole length will probably trigger two cameras. One fine or two?
(I don't know the answers....)
Sorry for the poor drawing. The rectangles are supposed to represent the two lanes.

It's Nottingham City Council. The fine will be in the post before you've even got to the second camera.
This all day long! You can’t even fart in Nottingham anymore without it being caught on a speed/traffic light/bus lane camera with the expected fine in the post.I got a bus lane ticket on Edwards Lane near City Hospital a while back, managed to get it overturned eventually but they fought tooth and nail for their bits of silver.

I always moan when people don't come back to update their threads Do you think:

I now know the answer to above
1) Nope
2) Yes
3) Nope, but if you do turn round they will probably cancel the fine as they can see you've tried to do the right thing
