I came across this car the other day. Clearly parked in motorcycle only bay but there's no sign showing what the restrictions are for the bay. You can see the pole where the sign would be but the sign is not there

Would they get let off if they appealed the PCN?

Not my car. I was merely walking by

I'm no expert but I will say that without the sign being present it is unenforceable. The box with Solo MC's Only becomes advisory rather than mandatory.

He'd get a PCN for the wheels being over the line though surely?

I have whinged about it on here before but I appealed a PCN after some dick moved my bike a few inches to get their moped in, and a couple of inches of my tyre ended up overhanging the line (or rather, the air above the line).

Westminster council told me to go eff myself.

Oh interesting re the bike.

I have parked my own car for extended periods where there's been no signs and not gotten a ticket. This was 2011 though in Hammersmith and Fulham and in a bay for cars, so not straddling lines. No way the parking warden didn't see my car.

Maybe the PCN was given for straddling the lines then. Good.

Taking parking away from a load of bikes in a bike only bay deserves a PCN
