Northampton, A43 dual carriageway (70 limit) ticket received today, 84 mph. And please, expected Brake members please FRO and join a none motoring based chatroom! First ticket I've had in nearly 13 years, if that counts for anything.

There are other criteria in play, but up to limit+10%+9mph would qualify ie max 86mph in a 70mph limit.Note also that invites to attend a course are discretionary, not automatic.

Yes, I got one in the same area, 8 mph over the posted limit.
£92 for a 3 hr online Zoom call in a few weeks. Going to be fun
Not having a pop at you, I don't know you, but for everyone doing compulsory education instead of points.....£92 for a 3 hr online Zoom call in a few weeks. Going to be fun
You never know, depsite being a driving god, as all PH members are, you might learn something.
I did, after nearly 50 years driving experience. It also passes faster if you participate and take an interest.
I went on a track day at Cadwell Park the following day to put my new knowledge about stopping distances to good use.

Just curious, how did it help?I went on a track day at Cadwell Park the following day to put my new knowledge about stopping distances to good use.

Track days allow me to exercise my need for speed in a much safer environemnt and one where I won't lose my licence for 120 mph+.
Honestly, I used to drive over the speed limit quite often before track days (the classic Audi 85 mph on dual carriageway stuff), now I feel far less need to. I have however had two NIPs in the last 5 years through lack of concentration, both bang on the speed at which they start to prosecute - 57 in 50 and 35 in a 30 respectively. Muppet - I need to concentrate better. Full stop.
For future reference, AGTLaw's guidelines are here;

I got told recently on 31st August the government quietly cancelled all the online driving courses now you have to visit the classroom in person. This is creating issues as they need to hire a lot of staff at short notice to run these classes & you might find you are so out of luck trying to book an online course & have to take the points instead............!

Ah bugger. I was chatting to a friend last night who told me he recently sat a course online (and he lived in NHamptonshire for a period) but he also added that you can choose the location to attend. It would be great if that's still an option. Fermit said:
