National Speed Awareness Course Providers
Discussion
Just booking my speed awareness course - 79 on a smart motorway at 3am - but that's a whole different debate!
As you can pick any provider and do it online are there any differences between them? Are some better than others?
I can do Essex or Humber in the next two weeks with the others being anything from November to January for availability. Will likely go Humber as they do weekend courses unless the forum knows better.
Also reading other threads on here I've seen it said that no insurers ask whether you have been on a course - is this still the case?

AFAIK, it was Admiral who were the last people to ask about courses and they don't do that any more, so I think you are home free on that.
Trustpilot reviews to help on the other question? I see there are some for TTC and Drivetech. I am a bit of a veteran, but can't remember the names of the providers!!

Luck of the draw tbh; courses are all the same but it's the presenters/instructors who make the morning/afternoon passable or absolute hell.
I got done for 79 in a 70 too a few years back; had my SAC in Islington and the two guys leading the course were pretty sound; one a proper east-London, ex-police and the other guy sounded like Adam Buxton doing his impression of the Queen, but both were professional, not condescending and the group I was in weren't a bunch of pricks either, so the course went quickly.
My cousin on the otherhand had to do his in Kent and he the guys running it were argumentative plus the group of people on the course weren't playing ball.
Good luck.

Better.....Better....Better!
What are you expecting to get out of it apart from several lectures & silly questions?

It's 15 mins crammed into 4 hours.

Better can also mean cheaper. When I went to book an online course during covid, I looked at a few providers and chose the cheapest. Better.....Better....Better!
