First off apologies for posting this question, but in my defence the search facility isn’t working for me.

Can someone please recommend the best overlay for tomtom on a pda?
Google throws up various options, but I would like to have some recommendations behind the one I decide to use from the knowledgeable folk on PH.

Free would be good, but I would not mind paying a few quid if it means a more up to date database.

Thanks,
Steve
:)

TT5 for the Pocket PC includes the ability to warn about POI's, works very nicely indeed when used with the pocketgps/poiplace overlays...

It works, but frankly it's a bit pants by comparison with CheckPOInt , which no longer works with TT5.

Thanks for the shove in the right direction.
I put this on last night before a trip from Cambridge to Teeside and back - worked very nicely and told me where all the blackspots are (even the ones without a scamera at that point)

I thought the same and was pleased to see that there is a version of CheckPOint for TT5, it works great.

Am I being thick

New to this Pocket PC stuff - I have an Orange M500 (xda mini, I-mate jam) with TomTom 5 on Windows 2003CE.

Which camera overlay is right for me?

The .zip contains the file 'Which files should I use.txt' I'd read that if I were you

Chaps. Are these files as good and accurate as the Origin/RoadAngel DBs?

Never used Origin or Road angle so can't offer a comparative but the pocketgps db is very good, worst errors I've seen have been by a matter of yards, and have never come across a camera not in the db (of course I haven't driven every road in the UK so YMMV)

Thanks boss. Worth a look then.

I was considering the new Road Angel SatNav/GPS detector, but it's not cheap and a natch inflexible. TomTom with an overlay seems like a plan.

The B2 has broken it's cradle *again* and I've basically had enough.
