Need her to leave
Discussion
Got myself in a mess. A female friend came round to my house earlier, we talked a bit and she made it clear she wanted more than friends. Told her nicely that wasn't happening, as this didn't seem to be sinking in expressed this more strongly. She didn't take this well and now she's refusing to leave. She's currently lying on my couch.
If she was a bloke I could physically throw her out but obviously that's not an option here. Tried talking to her and making it clear I want her to leave, tried everything I could think of to talk to her. She's not listening and seems to be playing on the fact I can't touch her. Presumably her thinking is this time of night I'll let her stay, of course I'll have to but don't want to. Tried suggesting driving her home, sticking her in a taxi etc.
Don't think I can call an ambulance because there's nothing wrong with her, aside from the obvious. Don't think it's a police issue, they'd presumably say sort it yourself, no crime's committed and no doubt they're quite busy at this time on Saturday night.
Obviously this reflects badly on my judgement that I had her here in the first place but here she is. I need this woman out, so if anyone's up this time of night any suggestions would be welcome.

You say she’s your friend so you must sort of know her?
Unless she has mental health issues and you think she’s going to cause you harm overnight then just apologise for the mix up, you don’t want a relationship, then go to bed.
If you think she has mental health problems and she may cause you harm while asleep, then I think that’s a legit reason for phoning the police.

Suggested that to her in terms of calling one of her female friends that I also know but don't have numbers. Her phone's in her bag and she's made it clear she's not handing it over, clearly I can't take it. She's not drunk. I'm happy to give her taxi fare home but she's not having that.
99% sure Im safe to get her a quilt leave her on the couch and go to sleep myself in terms of not worrying about her doing damage etc but really don't want to go that route

I would get a mutual friend round asap or at least someone to act as a witness. They may have better luck talking some sense into her. I wouldn’t be leaving her unattended in your home for your safety and to ensure nothing gets damaged whilst you’re asleep if she has mental health issues.

Heating off, open the windows as much as you can. Give her nothing.
That'll do it!

They hate cold.No way I'd leave her unattended in the house. Zero worries about her doing me harm but slight worry about her causing damage - I'm an IT guy so have a lot computer equipment in the house she could obviously cause me damage that way if she was so minded. Don't think she would but not willing to take the chance. I'm not prepared to go to sleep with her here.
Her mates not an option especially at this time of night so phoned the police on 101 and explained the situation, very helpful and they are prepared to tell her to leave but as there's no risk of harm I'll have to wait. Told her I've phoned the police so it's better for everyone if she left willingly but she's dug her heels in. Even dealing with the police has potential to open a whole other can of worms that I really don't want but can't see another way out of this.
Seems I'll have to wait up most of the night, she keeps talking but I'm not engaging, hopefully she'll run out of steam and fall asleep. Will report back when this is resolved.
Crap situation - lesson leaned. Cheers all for the support.
