No fine. £20 victim surcharge. The court didn’t have any option but to impose the mandatory surcharge.

OK, could have put a bit more effort in!
Just wondering on peoples thoughts really, I mean Shirley a bit of community service or something. Seems lenient at best.

My wife taught in an area where there were traveller children. She always said they and their parents were the most respectful to teachers.

I don't doubt it. Your wife was helping their children gauin an education and a chance to better themselves.
The problems only arise when they start crossing the line regarding the law.
