Criminal defence lawyer recommendations ; Southampton area
Discussion
The OP ask for help. It is nothing to do with us what his friend did. The original PHers are a band of people set to help fellow people with the same interests. Ufortunately this has become a site full of nosey people and key board warriors. If the OP needs any more help I am sure the real PHers will help

The man for the job is Khalid Missouri He is in Southampton and only deals with criminal law 02382 359239. He a has right ot audiance in the crown court as well. Your friend really needs to see someone who knows their subject. Not just a general solicitor
Thanks, seems an interesting character with real experience! Somewhatfoolish said:
Can't help with question but surely it matters what he did?
This is an important point, make sure whoever he engages is experienced in the type of crime your friend is accused of. If it’s an indictable offence and is heading to crown court then the right solicitor/firm will be able to find the most suitable barrister to prepare and present a defencerlw said:
All of which is why I suggested he started by looking at the Law Society's website. Funnily enough, they know what they're talking about.
They don't actually make recommendations however as you would expect. Putting my search criteria into the law societies search returned 165 entries so the site didn't really help that much.. therevday said:

Actually it does help. Someone could have a lot of experience with drug dealing where as the OPs friend might need advice with an assault case. therevday said:

Am I newbie to you with 175 months?
I agree we don't need to know what his friend did but surely it's important to know what sort of thing was allegedly done, at least in broad terms, for recommending a solicitor? Would you recommend Nick Freeman for a murder?

It's essential to have the right lawyer for the right job - there's no "one size fits all". Without knowing something about the alleged offence it's impossible for anyone to offer useful guidance.
amongst other things the seriousness of the alleged offence can have a huge influence on how much money it's worth spending to defend the case.

Any criminal lawyer will be able to deal with it. Anyone who advertises as specialising is talking rubbish as we'd be out of a job if we tried to pick and choose work.
I would ring the magistrates court and ask who's the busiest. That tends to give you the best answer.
You see people with cash pay people who advertise as a specialist who are generally not as good as the " busy local practitioner".
