TFL ulez fine paid it then realised vehicle in wrong categor

We accidentally sent a euro v minibus into London and received a £1,000 fine reduced to £500 if paid within 14 days
A day later spoke with a mate who operates a similar vehicle and he told me these vehicles are in the car group and therefore fine should be £80 if paid within 14 days.
Checked out TFL web site my vehicle is 5,000 kg vans which is the car category up to and including 5,000 kg
So TFL has put my vehicle in the heavy weight division.
We have appealed but ignore our appeal as it says do not pay if you appeal
Not sure what to do next
