I took Stubhub UK (global company but there is a registered UK office) to the small claims court, they didn't defend, default judgment £300.

I had a look and they have a few other small claims outstanding against them.

I doubt it's worth sending the bailiffs in as I suspect the London address is just a mailing address with no people or equipment (there are UK directors listed at companies house however).

Basically what's the best simplest option to get my money please?

You might need to get an order against thier bank accounts, but you'd need to figure out where they bank.

For that amount of money I’d recommend you get in touch with the CMA https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/compet...

Stub hub are “known” to them as you’ll see from the link. A complaint to the CMA might result in Stub Hub refunding you. You have other options but they’ll cost you.

I’d have thought once they see the judgement registered they’ll be clambering to have it set aside, whether that’s by settling or applying for a full hearing
Maybe send the U.K. address a copy of the judgment explaining you want payment
It’s cheap and has worked before
I’m assuming Stubhub are fairly financially stable

www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money/enforce-a-ju...

The links in it tell you how much you will need to pay for each action. You might not get any money back at all so you need to decide if the extra costs are worth it.
Page 13 of the blue 'pay a court fee' link in the 'Enforce a judgment' section.

Yes, as I say I'm pretty sure the UK office is just a mailing address with no people

I don't think the Landlords would be too impressed if a bailiff turned up at their office even if no assets are there
They would probably not want the embarrassment themselves

The court pack will give you the option of using the County court bailiff but they are useless and I would using a private bailiff. I recommend Marstons

Its your only option left other than writing it off. You wont be able to claim a third parry debt order on their bank as you probably don't have the full bank details

Are you sure you have used the correct address ie the same as Companies House . Something tells me you may have got something wrong hence their reason for completely ignoring the order they may veiw you as not having a leg to stand on and its easy to get things wrong with the smoke and mirrors!

Who have you actually sued and got judgment against?

As far as I can see, their UK site appears to be operated by a Spanish company based in Bilbao, and I'm guessing you didn't sue them?

You might have answered my question here! and if they are in the UK it might not even be worth the OP chasing over £300

Good luck.....seems all the people listed on companies house change every year.

5 listed but one is a duplicate.

SANCHO DE LAS ALAS-PUMARINO, Maria Carlota

Secretary and Legal Counsel with both a UK and spanish address

https://es.linkedin.com/in/carmen-sancho-de-las-al...

We can be pretty much 100% sure there is no real uk asset bar maybe a server or 2 in a data center, definitely not at the address they list their staff as contactable.

Yes, there is Stubhub UK in London listed at companies house, that is who the judgment is against.
Their website - https://www.stubhub.co.uk/about-us/ - says:

Service provider of the website www.stubhub.co.uk:
Ticketbis S.L.
Gran Vía 45, Planta 7
48011 Vizcaya (Bilbao)
España
Company number: B95630034

However, for the sake of £300 it's probably not worth the hassle of them applying to get the judgment set aside, so if you try to enforce it they'll probably pay just for the nuisance value.

As you suspected, their registered office is just a Regus serviced office, and they may have no physical presence there at all, so bailiffs would have nothing to seize. They do / did have a physical office at 110b Charing Cross Road, London WC2H 0JP, but whether it would be worth sending the bailiffs there I really can't say - it might well be the office of the Spanish company.

I assume you paid them £300 at some point, so do you have details of the bank account to which the payment went? If so, you can apply for a Third Party Debt Order against the bank, which is basically a court order addressed to the bank and telling them to send you the £300.
