It has been alleged that NHS Trust officials in The Letby case , threatened senior Doctors with reporting them to the the G.M.C ( General Medical Council), if they continued to work to have Letby removed from the neonatal unit at Chester.
The British Medical Association is correct in calling for NHS Trust managers and other senior officers to be regulated by a similar organisation to the G.M.C.
This would equalise the power dynamic and allow Doctors to report bad or dangerous NHS officials,and have them investigated and struck off if necessary.
