Blimey, we went to Cornwall and Devon a few weeks ago on Holiday, last week we went to York for a few days, all the roads in all these places were in good condition, why is it then that as soon as we come back to the West Mids the Roads are full of Pot Holes??, its currently costing me a full set of shocks a year to get through the MOT, and thats not cheap, I mean come on!! I have rang the Local Council about a Road Local to me which to be quite honest is falling apart and reported it, they replied that it is nowhere bad enough to warrant repair!, eh?, put it this way with shopping in the boot its bad enough to break half a dozen eggs at 30 MPH!, to get round this problem I currently do as was sugested to me by my IAM instructor while going on about "Mechanical Sympathy" and swerve all over the road to avoid such Pot Holes or drive over them if I have to at 10 MPH!, if I carry on swerving all over the place to avoid these Pot Holes, sooner or later the bib will pull me for seeming to be drunk!, Dear God what am I to do?, I pay my Road Fund Licence to cover the cost of keeping our Roads in good condition after all!

A 4x4 is a good idea.

Even if the road gets resurfaced, which will be done poorly and will not last long, they'll probably use even more taxpayers' money to add speed humps!

Local roads are paid for from your council tax, not VED.....
