I have cause, having concluded dealings with someone recently, to send an email outlining exactly what I think of them personally and of how they conduct their disgusting business, from a private consumer point of view. This person shies away from meeting or speaking on the phone, and is a legitimate piece of st.....but I have something to get off my chest.

Can’t be litigated for that can I, assuming only sent to them?

Why bother - they won't read it. If they do it will add to their ego. They're living rent free in your head.

No, as long as you don't use any language to be racist, homophobic, transphobic or any other protected characteristic. But if you were to end up in court over some dealings, the recipient could possibly use your email as evidence of how you feel about them, and it might sway a judge or a jury if it ever came to that. Also, be aware of the malicious communications act and make sure your messaging couldn't be interpreted as intending to cause distress or anxiety as that would be an offence in itself.

Not sure about the “grow up” and “living rent free” hehe you have no idea what they’ve done and what they’ve caused for others who haven’t been able to stand up for themselves.

Anyway perhaps it is a leave it then! Sorry I asked !

Move on man.

You can't change them.

They won't understand.

Shout into the void.

Just move on.

Sadly 43 years on this planet - I've found that people who really don't care, don't care.

One business I knew, actually printed these types of emails and pinned them on the wall, like a badge of honour. Thank god they went bust about 2 years ago, directors were right sts.

yes

Same goes for road rage - pointless getting angry at them, as you won’t change their behaviour, or even cause them to reflect. Took me ages to realise this, but when I did, and chilled out, it’s an epiphany.

Some people are just horrible. Don’t let them drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

The most effective way is to leave a review on Google (after you search for their company). Preferably with a photo of the problem to back up what your review says.

So when anyone else searches for the company, it shows your experience.

Would anyone want to use a garage that has loads of 1 star reviews and bad experiences on Google search results.

What do you expect them to do with it apart from delete it. Often when we want to do this it is to get some closure ourselves. Go ahead and write the email because it would be therapeutic but then delete it as sending it will serve no purpose.

A waste of internet bandwidth IMHO, they won't read it and there's a risk you will select the wrong address for the recipient. Far better to post it on here where we can all critique you style, have a laugh and you get the satisfaction of a spleen well vented.

Thank goodness I wrote all my angry thoughts down, and then sent them on in a way that was easy to disseminate. It really made things better.

Said no one, ever.

Move on. wink

Oooh, a strongly worded email.

Don't forget the alternates such as throwing a can of Red Bull at them, hammering frozen sausages into their lawn, dominating their stairs or bumming their Dag.
