I hope this is OK for S,P &L where the right PHers might see it.

It was 999 Day (Emergency Services Day) yesterday. Big thanks to everyone that responds to emergency calls whoever they are. A few photos from the Fun Day at Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance HQ near Rochester yesterday. We done to everyone who took part and to KSS for hosting it. Ambulance, Fire, Police and Coastguard there but other emergency responders and organisations as well.

I wondered what this was all about. I couldn't resist going to our local fire station open day just along the road. It was good to see how well attended it was, with lots of families. I had a chat to one or two people there and felt really sorry for a young policeman doing a stint indoors with a van - kids everywhere sounding the horn and the siren! He was wondering how long it would take his hearing to return to normal!

The horns and sirens were relentless where I was as well. 5 year old kids taking turns at sitting in driving seats pressing horns. cop
