Glasgow LEZ possible fine
Discussion
WE have received a letter from Glasgow LEZ enforcement team requesting that we pay a fine for entering said zone. The van was disposed of via auction in may of this year and the offence occurred earlier this month(October) I contacted the auction who said that due to GDPR regs they were unable to identify the buyer but suggested that i should pass the auction details onwards and they would deal with it......all good so far until GLEZ send me a reply this morning saying that as we were the registered keeper it is our issue and no further correspondence will be entered into.
The van was registered at my house BUT in the name of my brother in law who was in the process of moving to Sweden and had sold his UK house. One part of me wants this sorted but am also thinking i'll just let them run with it and see where it goes.
Your thoughts are welcomed

Who is "we"? If your BiL was the registered keeper then the correspondence should be addressed to him, not you, and this is certainly his problem rather than yours. Your own response should really be to tell the council that he no longer lives at you address rather than argue the toss about the sake of the van yourself.
