How long does a speeding ticket take to arrive, leased van?
Discussion
I was on a 60 road which turns to 30. Didn't see the 30 sign or change in speed sign. Turn a blindish corner and there's a truvelo speed camera. I obviously hit the brakes but I still think I was potentially over the 10%+2 limit of 35mph.
I'm driving a work van which my employer leases.
I understand the NIP will go to the registered keeper first, will this be the leasing company or the fleet managing company?
Will the NIP be forwarded to the company I work for or will it be forwarded directly to me from the registered keeper? (Will my employer find out)
This was 16 days ago, how long until I can assume I haven't got a speeding ticket?
Can I ring the leasing company and ask if they have received a NIP for me or will they not be able to reveal this information

How would the registered keeper know anything about you? They (the lease company) will forward it to the person who holds the lease (your employer). Can't estimate the time frame, here, it depends how long the lease company takes to forward the NIP after they receive it.

Will the NIP go to the leasing company or the fleet managing company? As you said, it will go to the registered keeper, I don’t see how a random from the internet will know which is the registered keeper for your van.I'm driving a work van which my employer leases.

Will the NIP be forwarded to the company or directly to you? The nip should be returned to the police with the name of the driver, if the registered keeper does not know who was driving (e.g, pool van) then they will name the company. A new nip will be sent to whoever is named on the first NIP.
How long before you can assume you haven’t got a speeding ticket? A while longer yet, could takes weeks maybe even months if there is series of returned NIPs.
Can you ring the company? Of course you can, they will either tell you or they won’t.

As Scrump has said there is not forwarding going on, only returning to the police with details of the next in line. If there is a lease company, then a fleet management company, then your company, it will take a while. If each respondent takes their 4 weeks to return the NIP and the issuing authority turn it around in 4 weeks, it could take 3 months to get to your company. Can't estimate the time frame, here, it depends how long the lease company takes to forward the NIP after they receive it.
I got caught speeding in my works van which is from a leasing company and through a fleet management company,it took many weeks before the nip eventually trickled down to myself,i thought i had long got away with it.
After only 16 days I think youve potentially got quite a while yet to sweat it out and see if youre getting prosecuted.
Was the van signed out to yourself on that day?
