Current vacancy with the Scottish Exec.

"As Director of the Programme Office, you will have a key role in an [b]important policy area that has already made a major contribution in reducing the number of people killed or injured on Scotland's roads[/b]. You will provide strategic leadership for the development of the Programme, and will ensure that it continues to be evidence based. You are a consummate communications professional prepared to be the national spokesperson for the Programme. Through the development of national advertising campaigns, PR activity, a national website and other publicity initiatives,[b] your main goal is to change drivers and the wider public's perception of the Programme and, ultimately, their behaviour on Scotland's roads[/b]"


The job is to be director of the 'Safety' camera partnership. £37-46k

Pretty crap salary, they're obviously going to get a top executive for that position - not !
£46K to become of the most hated people in Scotland.

That is the equivalent to 55-60k in england probably, salaries are much much lower here, and it does state that you can earn more by assuming a larger role.

my problem is that in no way does this job ask for someone to assess tha suitability of the scameras. And as this is a Scot Exec job this means the policy is clearly set in stone (or is that stolen money?).
