I ain't commenting on whether you should get done for speeding. Each makes his own mind up.

However, can anyone in the business (rozzers or otherwise) please explain this.

A straight, wide road near me. I mean dead straight, and flat. Pavement each side, with a 4ft wall, then fields. No houses, no shops, no barn, no chicken coop, no outhouse, no nothing. 30mph.

At the top, it's a T-junction. Turn, and it's the same width of road, but its now got corners, hilly bits, AND houses that front straight onto the pavement. Plus businesses. Plus pedestrians. So it goes up to 50mph.

what's that about then?

With you there, how often have you been driving down a 30mph street of reasonable width and you drive by a road that almost represents a dirt track just wide enough to fit your motor down yet it displays the national limit sign, 60mph...Gets me every time
