insurance repairer messed up my car
Discussion
Hi all
14 days ago I took my car to do some body work rapiers sent there by my car insurance
I picked up the car @ 16:30 last Tuesday and the next morning I was driving on A13 the front well come of when i was doing 50 miles per hour , i managed to stop the car after 50 meters or so but it was a scary situation.
The bobby shop I picked the car from did some work on the car ,they changed the wing the light and bumper so they did remove that will to work on the car and i find the security bolt for the will on the boot of the car .
Please if anyone went through the same experience let me know and any information will be gratefully received.
Thank you

Seems quite simple to me. Following a minor accident, the OPs insurance company granted permission for him to have his car converted into a Sunbeam Rapier look alike (until now a sadly overlooked ‘Restomod’ possibility). To add a period touch the body shop (actually Police officers working in their spare time) decided to attach a garden wishing well, complete with gnome and fishing rod. Unfortunately due to poor workmanship, the well became detached at 50mph, leading to much consternation.
The artisan constables, on receiving the car back discovered a collection of wills in a glove compartment and are currently investigating their provenance.
Unfortunately I think the OP will be unlucky in his quest for someone else who might have had a similar experience.

Sadly, OP, it seems that are having a case of bad luck. Take the car back to the repair shop, and inform your insurance company (did they authorise the repair).
Rapier = Repair
Bobby = Body
Will = Wheel
Good luck. There are some unkind folks, so suggest you type up your response in your first language and put it through Google Translate, and paste it in here.

At least the rear well didn’t fall off too. Was the front well a wishing well? If so it could be located and a wish made to not have the initial crash. Then all subsequent issues could be avoided. Though apparently space time continuum issues may arise from changing history depending on the ethical motivation.
Perhaps this post and associated replies demonstrate just how difficult it can be for someone who struggles with literacy and is an example of why those folks are too embarrassed by their reading/writing challenges to get help.
The OP explains that his car was repaired by an insurance approved bodyshop and after the work was completed, the wheel detached whilst he was driving it home. The kind of post that would normally have received quite a few replies suggesting how he might escalate this.
Instead almost every reply is taking the piss out of the OP because his literacy is below standard.

So, apologies to the OP if my childish humour has caused genuine distress - no malice was intended.
