Saw a police 'convoy' heading N around Cirencester yesterday morning: 3 or 4 battenberg estates (BM's?) with all lights on, in loose formation around an unmarked grey 5 series estate.

About 1/4 mile further back, another marked car with lights on straddling the centre line and holding back traffic.

TPAC training, or something else?

Or a Royal being transported?

I doubt they'd be in a 5 series estate TBH.

I reckon it's pretty nailed on with TPAC training.

Was travelling from Swindon to Gloucester around 1130 this morning and there were 2 BMs and Volvo I think blue lighting it south on the A417 and they didn’t look like they were hanging around!

Wouldn't you expect to see bikes for that?

Tpac training is normally done on runways. They were doing it all day at the Dunsfold top gear track when I was doing my bike training. I have seen that on TV too.

It's also done a lot on the road.

Couple of runs off road and then practice on the roads for each tactic.

All my TPAC training and subsequent refreshers were done on live motorways and dual carriageways. They still are.
