Parking HGV on residential street

A neighbour has recently started to bring his work HGV home at night. He parks on the residential street, with houses on both sides. He also drives it like he’s stole it, but that’s another matter.

I thought unless they're out working hgv's had to return to the Base listed their o licence.
Also if you are willing to maybe contact his company and ask why they allow the vehicle to be parked there, drivers have been sacked for booking a night out but taking the vehicle home.
Looks like ECM they're a fairly big outfit if I'm not mistaken so you might have some traction there.

Ha ha no, that's a driver swinging the lead. It's ECM, I'd be on the phone to them tomorrow, pointing out their o licence spcifies operating centres where the trucks live & your road isn't one of them. Cheek of it!

A few quick ones for starters.

I wouldn't get hold of the Traffic commisioner (haulage industry regulator) as an opener, it's a sledgehammer to crack a nut. ECM are a reputable company. the odds are one driver is taking the rise rather than it being sanctioned by the firm. I'd call them & ask them to stop. If they don't then, the TC will act but fair to give them a chance to fix it first.

I drive hgv’s and there no way I’d be taking that home and parking like that.
As others have mentioned I’d be onto the firm it’s a big outfit there’s not a chance they’ll accept that, drivers probably booking a night out but sneaking home.
Or if you want to cause real issues contact the traffic commissioner, worst thing for any firm is having him on your case.
