Minimum road sign height on pavement

I know there are some people here who work with roads/signage - locally there are some traffic calming signs which are genuinely difficult to see because they're so high up (I'm a tall guy in a small car and can't see them when I get close enough to read them properly).

For a road sign that is entirely over the pavement, is there a minimum height that the bottom of the sign has to be from the ground?

Can't help with the question I'm afraid, but I can add some pedantry. I think you mean maximum height if you are looking for a rule that stops signs being too high.

2.1m or 2.3m if it's a shared ped/cycle path or cycle lane.

No, minimum height so we can get them fitted as low as possible.
