They are Extra Cameras because the UK doesn't have enough cameras yet. These ones are especially small so you can get lots of them into every square yard.

Yea the one I got off Google maps wasn't the location I saw it, it's obviously been moved when roadworks were moved but maps hasn't updated yet. Thanks for the helpful responses, so doesn't look like it's a speed camera then?

Stretch of road was between 3a m42 and 4 it drops to a 50 about a mile before roadworks, says police speed check area but not obvious speed cameras or police just this little bug eyed thing

Just strange that they have this area 2 miles before an average speed check area, why not just start the average speed check area sooner? Pretty sure they only camera present was the type of the one I posted. Which I'm hoping is just a cctv camera
