possible stolen car?

If an RAC check comes back with “THIS CAR HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN STOLEN” and Autotrader won’t allow a for sale listing to be created for that reg with a message stating “We are unable to place this advert, please contact us at [e-mail].” does this mean the car is listed as stolen and never recovered/resolved? It’s a 57 plate and only worth about £2K.

My guess would be stolen and recovered.
