Mrs bought some bits from 2 separate companies that advertises through Facebook. This was in November for an Advent Calendar and a Mug (about £30 each - Yes £30 for a mug!).

Companies never sent the items and when asked for a refund in January they said it would be processed but nothing. Now ignoring emails.

Does anyone have any experience doing a bank chargeback and if so is it likely to be successful? Was paid for with debit card.

Mrs is happy to just leave it but it’s annoying me knowing they have done this to god knows how many people and pocketed the money. Thanks

I've successfully charged back (supplied with wrong goods) but they weren't bought through facebook.
Just outlined to card company all the steps I had taken to try & (unsuccessfully) address the issue with supplier first.
Refunded in full.

How much was it for everyone else?

Yes just contact your credit card company, they’ll probably have a web form to fill in and provide your evidence.

If it looks reasonable they’ll probably give you back the money fairly quickly, with a proviso that if it’s contested by the retailer then they may yet reverse it again.

Id get a hurry on. You only have 120 days to raise a claim. November you said!

If your debit card is a Visa, then Visa give roughly the same S75 chargeback rights for a debit card as with their credit cards.

If the agent refuses for any reason, then just say the magic C word - complaint.
