Hi all

I just received the letter below at my home address. The address is correct but I’ve no connection with and never heard of the company concerned. Obviously I’ll respond to HMRC at the email address on the letter but any thoughts on what could be going on here please?

have you had a look at the Companies House website to see where the Company is registered and who the owner is?

“Wealthy/mid sized business compliance”? Is that a wind up?

Thanks for the help guys. I thought someone had registered a company at my address and didn’t know it was so easy to check.

Looks like the company is owned by a neighbour with a similar address. I just need to deliver and apologise for opening it. thumbup

Why would that be a wind up?

Too late now, but I was going to say, if its a different name (even if its your address) you could return it unopened, with RTS written on the back of the envelope.

Is the correct answer.

Just the department title. An utterly ridiculous premise - what constitutes a wealthy business, surely it could be small, medium or large and still be wealthy.

I could be very wrong but I think there is
ISBC - Individuals and Small Businesses Compliance
WMBC - Wealthy (individuals) and mid size businesses Compliance
LB Large business - top 200 businesses.

The 'Wealthy' has an income threshold to push you up from ISBC, I expect an accountant will be along shortly to give me a material correction.

Looks spot on to me
