Is the signage for the ULEZ st everywhere or was I just unlucky?

As far as I can tell I from TFLs map I must have entered it as I came off this roundabout, google street views images are from July 2025 and I can't see any signs there.

Admittedly I later crossed a roundabout that did have a sign, but even then the sign says LEZ when I thought was only for busses and lorries?

They must make a fortune from people who don't know the area.

It's a st show. And of course you can't check if you'd entered it or not, you have to pay it speculatively "just in case". Best thing would probably be to join one of the FB anti-ULEZ groups and see if anybody can offer any decent advice. Expect to need a shower afterwards though.

Do you know you got caught? Some of the cameras are disabled.

Going forward the best thing is just to register just in case you go through one IMHO.

If I was caught, I don't know if they'll be able to track me down and if they do it may take a while.

I was part-ex'ing a non ULEZ compliant car on Dutch plates for a new one which is ULEZ compliant but on a temporary export registration so who knows if they'll ever figure it out. TFL's site has a bit about registering to drive in London, are you supposed to register even if the car is ULEZ compliant?

I'm going to need a German green emissions sticker and the French Crit'Air one, I'm going to run out of windscreen space!

If the car is ULEZ compliant you dont have to do anything. The only other thing is the CC which you can register an account for if you choose

Ah right, you don't know if you got caught? Can you pay for a one off until the day afterwards, like the Dartford Crossing? Maybe do that just in case? Otherwise it will be £80 or something if they track you down...

I doubt it. Most people do know where London Boroughs begin and end, and those that don't, the overwhelming majority of cars are ULEZ compliant so it doesn't matter.

Both roundabouts are outside the ULEZ (the A223 between them is not). They allow large non-compliant vehicles to double back before being committed to enter the Zone.
The signage at the Bexley one appears to be absent in Google Streetview but is definitely there now as I drove past it two weeks ago.
It's located on a pole in front and to the left of the 40 limit sign and clearly visible. At Ruxley all the exits other than the B2173 to/from Swanley take you into the zone.
Your Streeview link of the Sandy Lane exit is woefully out of date! (2021). This is what it looks lke now - https://maps.app.goo.gl/xTmPnWGCikYx8D4JA
