He has several other imaginary cars at silly prices, but there's no 'report' button...
How do these people get away with it? Is someone really going to send him £29,960?

It depends what platform you are viewing on, but on my iPad at the very bottom of the listing there is a ? button that displays options for reporting. I think on other eBay platforms it’s under a … iconAt the bottom of this page you can leave a review of the buyer

The company details on the eBay page match up and state that there is a net set value of over £200,000. Established in 2012.
eBay number is a Sheffield code 0114 whilst Stainforth would be Doncaster 01302.
Suspect someone has hacked the correct details?
Anyway I have always fancied a 2025 Disco for less than £30,000 so will be getting his bank details and sending the money asap!

Ebay is full of this scammy stuff. Report it to ebay, they'll ignore it completely. bFake advert: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/357768504403

I'm using Chrome on a laptop. I searched the page for 'report' but there was nothing.I had an idea to send the link to the genuine seller and let the feathers fly

Always wary when all the other cars for sale are pictured in different locations.
The price is the biggest giveaway - about 1/3 of the actual value. If it was 10% lower he might get away with his dastardly plans...M4cruiser said:
Shocking ... the ebay listing (and business) look genuine enough.
(Apart from the price of course)
How does this work? It says viewing by appt, presumably no one will send money without viewing it?
Can someone give it a try, and see if he just wants a deposit?

Deposit, delivery, reserve fee. Basically relatively small sums from many victims. (Apart from the price of course)

Whilst I was looking for a motorhome I would look through the bay of e & find odd ones with ridiculous prices.
Every one had a few (generally 99p) random items for feedback & also had a similar construction of account name, always just a few limited photos and generally each pic was of a motorhome on a caravan site from a distance.
Each & every one I reported to ebay & each one was removed within 24 hours.

EBay is an absolute s
thole isn't it?
When I was buying some new motorcycle leathers recently I was staggered at the number of adverts for counterfeit items on EBay that came up from my Google searches. To be clear, this is fake protective equipment that could mean someone suffering life changing injuries who wouldn't have with the real deal.
I reported dozens of accounts selling the clearly knock-off gear but on the odd occasion EBay did something about it they were back with another account almost immediately.

Facebook is no different, the entire net is just full of fraud and scams. As is the case these days, nobody cares or bats an eyelid. The sites are uncontactable, everything is AI / automated, you can't contact them and even if you do it is binned / ignored / filed away. Welcome to life.
