Parked in the station car park, in a spot I have parked before, and have seen others parked in.
Not touching yellow line, right in front of a sign inviting paying by phone.....

I've sent them a screenshot of my payment for that day, I wasn't trying to get away with not paying.

I assume that the fine is because you didn't park in an actual parking space?

^^^^ That being the case I think you are guilty as charged but I would have thought the Ts & Cs are the place to go.

I'd appeal that one on the basis that the signage is unclear and as the yellow markings have worn away you could assume that the parking bay markings had too.

Unfortunately the slam dunk that land on which railway byelaws are in force is not "relevant land" in the application of the Protection of Freedoms Act was taken away a couple of months ago, so you can't use that defence.

Before I appealed a few of these and gained some knowledge, Mrs W paid up for "failing to park in a marked bay" although the marked bays were covered in snow at the time she parked.

Yeah I do fear the lack of one white line of paint might cost me £50.
Hoping they’ll see a bit of sense and tell me that’s not an actual space and don’t do it again. But doubt it now I think about it

Ask for a refund on the ticket you bought.

They can't have it both ways.

That looks like a space to me, even got a sign on it and the car fits.

Usually when I read these threads I chuckle at the OPS.

But, I think everybody would park in that space. I think they are offside frankly. (Unless there's a mahoosive arrow just out of shot saying don't park here hehe)

It's not a fine, it's an invoice.

Are there any signs that say you must park in a marked bay?
