Just had the dreaded letter through the door, which to be fair I knew was coming. Accelerated left out of a junction as the approach from the right was blind so wanted to get up to speed. Not an excuse I know.
Whats the likely outcome of this? Obviously no option for speed awareness course. This will be the first time in 30 years of driving this has happened, not sure if that counts for anything?

41 in a 30 qualifies normally for a speed awareness course - the limit is +10%+9 (so 42). If, for whatever reason you don't qualify, it's 3 points + £100.

Because in his post he asks what the likely outcome might be, he gets his answer, says thank you, then you bowl in for some reason!

Because it's SPL and he doesn't need your permission to ask a question relating to it.

OP, the threshold for an SAC is above the speed you've received a NIP for, so unless you've already done an SAC in the last 3 years, there's no reason you shouldn't be offered one.

I got nabbed for doing 36 in a 30 2 weeks ago and the NIP letter arrived 4 days later.

Last indictment was in 1997 for a SP30 with a driving history since 1985.

Hopefully a SAC rather than anything else.

Is 4 days normal to have to wait? I almost certainly missed an average speed camera section in late March & had 2 weeks of sleepless nights waiting for the postman, including a vivid dream of the judge sending me down, but nothing appeared....

I was flashed on Saturday morning, and a NIP letter arrived the following Thursday. It asked who was driving the vehicle and I answered. I sent a scan of the complete form and was informed it would take two weeks to process. Over a week has passed so I will wait and see.
