In September 2023 the IOPC opened an investigation into the wrongful conviction of Andrew Malkinson for rape. Nearly 3 years later nobody has been interviewed.

Seems the excuse is that they "paused" the investigation until after the conviction of the actual rapist.

After many years in jail for a crime he didn't commit surely Andrew Malkinson deserves a fast investigation of any police failures in his case or is delaying the investigation for years reasonable.
