Consumer rights question - Shower screen issue
Discussion
I've had an ongoing saga with a screen purchased for a bathroom renovation.
Bought it 22nd of June, couldn't get the thing in based on other jobs in order needed so finally got down to install last week.
I started the installation performing installation of Drilling holes in porcelain tiles and then Siliconing as per instructions, mounting the frame to the wall, I established that the frame would not attach.
On Tuesday the 4th I rang and raised with the company directly on the support line. that took me through the instructions with the lenghty call with them on first line support, I tried constantly to explain the parts did not align and add up and here the parts pivot parts supplied it took until Wednesday to confirm that the parts shipped to me within the full box indirectly boxed and shipped from yourselves were in fact incorrect.
4. Thursday the 5th, the parts arrived, however when unboxing this subsequently was sent out at Two Left Pivots with no Right Pivot.
5. Thursday another set of parts were apparently sent
6. On Friday no parts had arrived so I was informed via WhatsApp it would be the following early next week, I escalated and the parts then arrived on Saturday the 8th.
That bit led me onto the rest of the install. The instructions btw were written by a neanderthal, they were absolutely terrible and had zero context to what you should be installing.
It got worse...I let the silicone dry and tested earlier, it's leaking like a colander.
1. The main problem is that when applying shower pressure near the frame, the screen is leaking
2. The Door is not stopping on the frame stop that runs along the bath meaning;
1. Any light shower pressure pushes this door open causing leaks and will likely in incur excessive future issue where the door could be quite easily knocked and flood the toilet side.
I've been dealing directly with the manufacture to date but I've just raised an issue with the retailer. I have lost all trust in this product.
What are my rights going to be here to get this sorted? I've got a shower screen installed leaking holes in the wall that wont fit any other manufactures frame I expect it's an absolute nightmare.

Well if it’s genuinely a dodgy unit then I’m sure they will replace it. This may require photos or an independent inspection. A replacement will still line up with your existing holes and all should be fine.
I did notice in a previous thread about this that it was quite heavy and your wife wasn’t up to the task of helping you with it. I believe the manufacturer’s instructions clearly state it’s a two person job to install. Maybe a second person is what’s required to get it fitted correctly. Did you manage to get any help or did you just do it on your own?
