Reversing alarms

Neighbour a few doors away works for a national utility company and does 24/7 standby quite a lot. His recently changed high top lwb 3.5t signwritten van which he parks in the visitor parking area has a much louder reversing white noise alarm than anything i have come across before. When he gets a 2 am callout it wakes me and the mrs up.
The estate has covenants against commercials but no one takes any notice, and really i think live and let live but I feel this is taking the piss in a residential area. Nobody else with a similar size van makes that level of noise at unsociable hours, just because his fleet managers are a shower of risk averse tts I dont think everyone who lives near their employees should be getting frequent middle of the night wake up calls just to tick a h&s box.
The neighbour says there is nothing he can do its company policy.
Has anyone had any luck getting something done about persistant antisocial commercial vehicle use?
I was snoozing earler, but its an earlier than usual callout tonight.
Are these white noise buzzers usually fitted in an accessible loaction?

Its a large vehicle in a small space on a corner. If there are other cars parked he cant get the swing to drive in forwards, he needs to reverse

As said above, keep complaining to his company and don’t forget to mention it’s in a visitor parking space.

And if you get nowhere with the company, start a log of events, get a sound metre (app on phone) and start pressuring your environmental health dept.

Well that's it. Find the legislation and send it to his employer. They won't want staff breaking the law. And if they ignore you, local press love stories like that.

Many years ago the vehicle I drove with a reversing alarm would turn it off automatically when the lights were turned on

Could he park differently? We always had “1st move forward” drummed into us (although I guess that’d mean reverse parking when he returned!)

Gone are the days you could just call the landline being used for his csll outs & leave the line blocked so they couldn’t get calls (my girlfriend admitting doing this when she had a grievance with a company & I thought it hilariously evil, effectively held them to ransom until they dealt with her - probably illegal but funny!
