I am led to believe that one of my employees had to attend court today.
I have no idea why.
It may be for a driving offence.
As he is a driver for my company, if he was banned I obviously would like to know as I am pretty sure he's not going to tell me if he was.

Is there any way I can find out why he was in court and the results of the case.
Any advice would be appreciated....
Thanks

Pauline

The court is a public place and the majority of the cases can be heard by the public. You should be able to phone up ask for results. It may also be mentioned in a local paper.

The results of court cases are public knowledge. I found out about my case by ringing the court, I dont see why they could not release the information to you.

I didn't realise that I could get results by phone.
I thought you actually had to be there to know what went on and I was advised about it too late to get there for the afternoon.

We have bought the local evening paper, but I will give the court a ring today..

Thanks....

It would appear the old offence of employing an unlicensed driver RTA 30/56 has been kicked into touch but under the 88 Act it is an offence to CAUSE OR PERMIT another person to drive without a Licence and for which I now understand this gives Plod the power to seize the vehicle if he comes across such a case.

So.....

in the interests of the Company essential that you have a record of what Licence he holds so ask to see it and employed on other duties until such time that he does?
