safespeed down - Page 1 - Speed, Plod & the Law

Down here..... Could be DNS or could be more sinister...

Can anyone who knows can get there post the IP address on here so we can check.

Looks like a DNS issue.

Name server for safespeed.com is ns1.vianetworks.nl, which doesn't return a result for www.safespeed.com

Back now from here, sounds more like a hosting issue than anything sinister..... Unless CSP have taken to running DOS attacks

I don't know what caused the brief outage this morning. There was about 20 minutes when I couldn't get in or get mail. Then it came back up and it's been fine since. Some minor technical issue at the hosts I guess.

It's never been safespeed.com, so that was just a red herring.

There have been massive peering problems at two tier-one ISPs today (Level3 and Verio) meaning massive chunks of the Internet weren't available for much of the morning. Should be all sorted now.
