hello

I was just wondering if there is a legal size of the letters and numbers on the reg plate, and also the size of the reg plate, is there a legal size requirement on this?

on the front of my car the plate holder on the front is about 25mm top and bottom, 35mm at each side too big, I was thinking of buying a reg plate that will fit the holder so the big number plate on it is not acting as a wind deflector so much, might also look a little neater.

Thanks in advance.

it refers to groups 1 and 2, does this mean one or the other, or does it refer to somthing more specific?

If you are getting a new plate neither , all new plates are to the sizes on the first table...

The god thing is that the regulations (see link above) only dictate the size & shape of the letters and the minimum gaos around them. Therefore you can opt for a "short" registration and cut the plate down as long as you keep within these guidelines.
