Hi all,
Got a notice through at work. My co. Car caught in a 40 doing 50 apparantley. Incident was at eight o'clock at night so dark. know the road well and know there are no camera's.
What could have got me.?
Also not sure whether it was me or brother in law driving. Anyone have any clues were we stand?

Hidden GATSO?
Hidden Truvelo?
(or most likely) Hidden Lidar?
Assuming you have it, examination of the photographic evidence will indicate which system you were caught with. Were there lines painted on the road? If so, what did they look like? Is there one photo or two?

Also make sure that they were insured to drive the car. Letting someone who isn't insured to drive your car, drive it, is itself an endorseable offence carrying between 6 and 8 points. Don't jump out of the 3 point frying pan into the 6 point fire.
Send it back saying you don't know who the driver was at this stage and ask for photographic eveidence for clarification.
Cross the other bridges when you get that through.
Most people have 3rd party cover on their own insurance for driving vehicles not owned by them so I'm sure your brother was insured to drive your car. I've never seen a letter requesting copies of yours and your brothers insurance so this would probably only come up if both you and your brother in law were summonsed to court under the S172 rule.
