Just got new car, No. Plate would look better if the spacing of one digit was altered.

Is it risky, does anyone care, would you stop me if you saw it and your a BiB. What about ANPR would it still recognise it as the correct reg.

Thoughts please...................kind ones!!

It is failing to display a valid registration mark. £30.00 fpn non endorsable.

ANPR should still pick it up if the font is unchanged.

Depends how lucky you are with the BiB who stopped you and if anything else was wrong. Some will stop you and ticket, Some wont bother.

Luck of the draw.

I probably see 2 or 3 a day with incorrect spacing.

The way to work it out would be:

Value gained by the incorrect spacing;

against

Chance of getting caught times the fine and hassle for being stopped.

So, if you reckon you will get stopped once a year, you will have to go to your local police station once a year with your documents and pay £30 per year.

The other factor may be in being pulled over your car will be strutinised with a fine tooth comb for endorsable offences like tyres etc.

If it were me I dont think having an incorrectly spaced number plate will enhance by life whatsoever, so I wouldnt be bothered with the risk, but each to his own!
