There have been a couple further up the road as there's an entrance to university halls of residence, but why there's a need to put a camera where houses are only on one side of the road, and a looooong way from the road itself, and no pavement on either side so no pedestrians, is beyond me.

As for scamera placement criteria, it would seem that as long as its profitable, it goes in.
Thats the only criteria i think they consider.

Thanks for those - I have saved them to show to my brother-in-law and his spawn, who are all Gatso-Nazis. The 30/50 one has my vote as it clearly demonstrates the principle that most pedestrians wander around with their heads up their arses and, if you can get past them, they won't bugger up your paintwork!
