Hi all, I've decided to get a Road Angel (New), or Road Angel Compact. Personally I think I prefer the compact, is the full monty version worth an extra £100?

i got the ra2 a couple weeks back and it's been brilliant. im not 100% sure what you get for the extra £100 other than the laser detector (which is a £50 add-on to the compact) but im pleased with the 2 so far - it has yet to miss a camera and has yet to go off without there being either a camera or a bridge there. do yourself a favour and buy it off www.speed-detectors.co.uk/ save £100 and it arrived the next morning

Cheers, although how is that saving £100, it's still £300?

Hi, I have just got the road angel new and it is a very clever piece of kit, it talks to you when you are approaching any type of camera, and tells you what sort it is, your speed your compass heading, it even tells you when you are approaching a change in speed limit.
It was in the budget for the Cerbera and has recently dropped from £400 to £300 so I got the car some polish and leather food and still saved £70.

Halfrauds are offering the Road Angel Classic at - I think - £149. May have even been £139. Are they any good, should I get one at this price?

Yes, essentially the same bit of kit, just less flash. Been using mine for a few years now, has saved me from definite points and fine about 10 times so far.
