"A spokeswoman for Brake, the national road safety charity, said: “Brake is very disappointed to hear that Mr Englander is still allowed to drive with a shocking 31 points on his licence. "

And goes on to mention some drivel about how bad it would be if he killed someone. Was there any suggestion of dangerous driving in the report? I only read about speeding and failing to produce. We know that convicted speeders tend to come from low accident risk groups, and he was probably insured just didn't show the docs. Hardly life threatening behaviour.

Why aren't these imbeciles from BRAKE ever tackled for spouting their bullsh1t?

Exactly.

There's no evidence that he's a dangerous driver. He's just an irresponsible git..!

Not necessarily even that, just a fool. There's no law against fools driving cars. Given how easily you can get points these days I'm surprised it's not more common. Nice to see the mags being so sensible too.

Surely one less salesman on the road is one less in a poverty-spec 3 series driving right up your arse? I'd ban him on that basis alone.

Make sure you leave a sensible message on the coments section, most people seem to think he should have been strung up. Perhaps some facts need pointing out to them.

I know a lad who got banned twice for totting up (minor speeding) and each time got his lisence cleaned and back so he could drive to his £40k job 100 miles away, and travelling around doing work at different sites.

I am astonished about how much the speed brainwashing has hit the general public. This is one of the comments:

Drivers like this kill people. Letting people off creates an environment where the law is not respected and people expect to get away with breaking it. Does the magistrate take no account of the suffering and hardship inflicted on 3500+ families each year when one of their loved ones is killed?

Answer: No the magistrate did not take into account of any of the hardship or suffering inflicted on 3500+ families, simply because he did not inflict any of it.

It seems that driving at a safe speed but exceeding a 'limit' is becoming as socially unacceptable as drink driving!!???

Don't worry -- it's not. That's the poxy tag line the PTB would like you to repeat. The truth is more and more people are being caught speeding and most of the time they felt like they were not being dangerous and resent the system as a result. At the same time they see the general standard of driving falling off.

The scammers have become greedy and are doing more to ensure their demise through alienating the public than we can ever do by political means.

The end is neigh.
