Hi All, i have just joined and was wondering if any of you have any help/advise on what happened to me on Sunday night, supposedly caught speeding at 53 in a 40, when i got home i checked the ticket details which said that the offence took place on 26th February 2005, well i can assure you all that i was not driveing on that date a year ago. Now i have two more days to produce docs etc, was wondering if anyone else has had this before, im sure i have a case to answer, after all if an officer cant fill in a ticket correctly what chance has he got with a radar gun.

Road side stop ?? The NIP would almost certainly have been given verbally. Did you hear the words '...consideration for prosecution...' etc ?? If so the NIP has been served (no 14 day get out, I'm afraid)..

AFAIK, the incorrect date can be corrected subsequently and probably deemed acceptable under the slip rule...

www.pepipoo.com if you are unsure..

He was given a Endorsable FPN by the sounds of it so the NOIP is not needed as he may well have accepted the ticket, if indeed he has been given a ticket and not a producer.

Clerical errors on tickets if challenged will be changed at court as a simple clerical error.
