There have been recent reports that a school had taken thumb-prints of pupils (some as young as five) - without notifying parents and seeking their permission. Then they told one protesting mother that they did not know how to delete the prints from the system. She contacted the police who said it was nothing to do with them and suggested she saw a solicitor. The reasons for the thumb-printing? So the school library could keep track of borrowers!

Sickening!
