On my way home from work yesterday evening I was driving along a twisty b road, which is relatively wide with 2 lanes and white lines. As I was catching the car in front I assumed he was passing a bike or horse as he was driving on the other side.

However he was just driving on the wrong side of the road. After about 3/4 of a mile a car came round a corner going the other way and luckily managed to avoid this idiot. He then dived back to the corect side of the road.

I have his number plate and could probably recognise him. should I report him to the police?

BIB is it worth it?

Report him? Was he speeding or something?

If not, it sounds perfectly safe to me ....

Was it a left hand bend? If so he may have been out there to increase his visibility.

I spend quite a lot of the time on the right(as in hand) side of the road if i am driving on twisties simply to increase my visibiity.
Was he doing this perhaps?
Or was his pull back to the left quite sudden and not smooth and prepared?
Being on the opposite side of the road before a bend is a lot better than during or after as many drivers i see do.
Enter bend too tight turn wheel and forget it can be turned more and end up running wide on exit.

Yes I think report him, s'pose he does this on a regular basis, car coming out of a side road on the right hand side, looks to his right, pulls out, and this person on the wrong side zaps him.

He may be an idiot who likes doing this thing, if nothing else, a visit from plod and a chat may make him buck up his ideas.

S'pose its you coming out of the junction, or over the hill, and its you who gets zapped, or if you read of this person causing a fatal accident due to his antics, and you think "Now if I had reported this, maybe, just maybe, it would have prevented this", yes I would go for it definately.
