Ach.... but I am intrigued as to how bus ist stolen und high speed chase occur in Dublin. Und the Garda did not manage to catch it sooner. Ist a bus .. not exactly easy on the cornering.

Am still looking for a link.. I heard on BBC Radio 2 News just before the Johnny Walker show start. By the way - he ist going to interview Robert Plant und ist greatest music choice.

Was just repeated on the 6 pm news. This time "several police cars were rammed by the 53 seater before the police finally stopped it in a rural area 5 mile outside the city of Dublin."

I thought it worthy of mention - someone may know more of this story und a high speed chase after a big bus through a big city like Dublin has some repercussion re safety for Joe und Josephine Public - surely?

Und one woman died when this bus hit her. It did not stop after it hit her either.

Yes it seems worthy of mention and legitimate comment, but then I'm not a mod. Let's hope it stays here anwyway.

Perhaps ist because it happen today that it not updated to website yet. Ist also mention on 7 pm R2 news. I shall be on look out for any further link und news on this one as I find it rather disturbing that person can steal a bus and it lead to a high speed chase in a major city.

I must admit I enjoyed the Johnny Walker show. He play the music I enjoy very much.

Thanks Prof, just heard something on local radio as well. This will doubtless provoke a lot of discussion over there like we're having over here.

No doubt it'll be the fault of the Police. Everything else seems to be these days...

Feeling a bit pissed off tonight, despite having just watched a superb episode of Top Gear!!...

Off course its the Police's fault, now if they had only put a safety camera on that stretch of road, it would have all never happened.

Only joking of course.

The police should be able to use lethal force on a vehical that refuses to stop during a chase, after all they are trying to murder people by doing driving like hey do. And if you are of the opinion that they are not trying to murder people, then why would you say a madman shooting a shotgun randomly into the streets is not, as I belive they are exactly the same.

Discussing the incident is fine, but please bear in mind that an innocent person has been killed, so a little restaint and sensitivity might not go amiss...

Yes of course, will do.

It seemed earlier that the thread itself was a problem just for being here, but not so.
